We have two cats, and they don't get along all that well. The male cat is very active - we call him Scooter - and he constantly tries to play with the female cat, who does not appreciate his attentions, and shows her displeasure by peeing in inappropriate places. About 18 months ago we tried Feliway, and it calms them both down. One refill lasts about 5 weeks, so you'll go through about 10 refills (about $150 worth) in a year. Probably worth it if you have misbehaving cats.

There are five cats living in my house. When my vet recommended Feliway to help with territorial marking, I was skeptical. But I've been using it for several months now, and am amazed at how well it works!
Within half an hour (or less) of plugging in the Feliway diffusers, the cats get really mellow -- and we rarely have any marking problems anymore.
I use four plug-in diffusers in various rooms of my 3200 sq ft house. I've noticed that when the dispensers get down to about 1/8" of liquid or so, the kitties sometimes tend to get cranky with one another, so I always have refills on-hand.

When we added a new cat to our existing clan of 3 it caused some acting up in the group. After all of the recommended processes to introduce the new cat failed we tried Feliway, It really helps them to remain calm and stopped the marking of territory and 'cat fights' that we were experiencing.
