| Customer Reviews:
mixed opinion about spray collar December 6, 2008 The spray collar worked each time the dog barked and did stop him in his tracks. He, a long haired chihuahua who is not the brightest, had no idea however that his barking triggered the spray. After several sprays over a period of time, he hid in the bedroom and wouldn't come out. Although it stopped the barking each time it occurred, there was no long term gain. Without the collar, he still barked. What has worked is being consistent each time he barked to tell him no and then pick him up and distract him. He is barking much less after 2 days of this and it is pretty clear this is what is needed to finally break the habit.
Anti-Bark Dog Collar November 25, 2008 This product is awesome. It really works. Just make sure that if you have 2 dogs, to get 2 collars. I didn't and every time the other dog barked, the poor dog with the collar got sprayed since it's sound activated. Live and learn!
Works, but does not last a long time November 20, 2008 We have a 100 lb + German Shepherd who loves to bark A LOT. We tried the shock collars in the past, but after we got one that malfunctioned (and actually left a severe burn mark in our poor dog's skin), we decided to try the Citronella collar. We were very pleased with the results. Our dog does not care for how the spray smells, and will stop barking. It may not immediately stop all of the dog's barking, but with use over time it will diminish. Most of the time we do not even need to use the collar on the dog now (because he has learned not to bark with the use of the collar).br /As for the negative side.... the square compartment on the collar that holds the citronella spray is pressurized. Over time the square compartment will go bad, and will not be able to contain the citronella spray anymore. We have owned two of these collars, and when we went to use the collar the other day, it would not hold the citronella anymore (just kept spraying out like the dog was barking). The first collar we had sprung a leak in the seam of the square compartment and leaked out there. br /However, I am about to purchase my third collar, so I obviously think that the benefits of this collar outweigh the negatives.br /On a side note, regarding the electric shock collars, I would really advise anyone not to use these on your dogs. Most of the literature that you will read on the internet will actually tell you that the dogs cannot obtain a burn from the collars, but I am telling you from personal experience that is not true. Our dog actually sustained a deep burn mark in his neck exactly where the prongs touched him. If you research on the internet, there is another case about a dog named "Rufus" that sustained very bad injuries also. Try the citronella!
Wonderful product! November 20, 2008 This worked wonders on keeping my dog from barking. My only problem with it was that with my 2 dogs playing around the collar got chewed up, but that is not a problem with the product... just with my dogs. :)
Quick Shipping. Great Product. November 17, 2008 Product arrived in perfect new condition...and the next day, if I'm not mistaken. (Granted I live in the area, but it was great to actually have it arrive that quickly). The collar has helped tremendously to keep barking under control. I definitely recommend it!
