Lives up to the hype March 7, 2008
I'm adding my name to the list of people that adore this product. I just cleaned and refilled my tank in fifteen minutes! That process used to take an hour. I'm actually looking forward to changing the water again next week, to show off to my skeptical husband that this product was worth every penny.
Aquarium Must-Have! March 3, 2008
Most others have said most things, but I wanted to add this. Take a look at PetsMart. In my area, they sell some other brands, but when they are working on their own tanks, they use a Python!! This thing is an absolute necessity if you are going to maintain your aquariums the way they should be maintained. Take care of it, and it will last you for decades.

When I got my turtle, I never realized how hard it would be to clean the tank! I had bought a siphon cleaner before this... and it was the worst thing ever.. I would have water all over the place. Bucket after bucket of water being carried into the bathroom, then refilling the buckets with more dirty water, having to move in and out of the tank to suck in the gravel and etc.. HARD WORK!! br /br /Then I looked online for something better and saw the Python no spill clean and fill. I wasn't sure if I should buy it at first because it seemed so hard to use, and wasn't sure how it worked. Then I received it, and honestly, I've never been happier to clean my tank! It's AMAZING how fast it gets the job done. It attaches to your faucet and uses water pressure to suck in the dirty water from the tank, then when you're ready to fill it up again, all you have to do is turn the green tube on the end and it'll fill right up! br /

Before I buy an item like this I do alot of research. I read up about it on many different websites, check reviews, compare prices etc...br /Everyone was saying The Python No Spill Kit was top of the line, works great, best purchase they made and so on. While many other similar cleaning kits didn't get as good reviews. br /While let me tell you, I got this in the mail, hooked it up in 5 minutes (I take my time reading instructions), cleaned my 60 gallon tank, refilled it and put it away with no help in about 15 - 20 minutes total.br /I was so surprised how easy and effective it was.br /It really is as good as all the hype.br /I had been cleaning my aquariums with a small syphon vac for years. Having to syphon to get water flowing, caring buckets of dirty water to the sink, making a mess and taking lots of time and often teamwork.br /This Python Kit was so much better. The only thing which I didn't like was that the similar Lee's Ultimate Gravel Vac Kit had a "Fish-Saver Cleaning Claw" to help avoid siphoning fish, which the Python Kit did not have. No big deal really, just in case you were foolish enough to let one of our fish get sucked in theres a shut off valve right on the end and you can easily reverse the flow.br /All in All this kit is excellent! Heavy duty, easy to set up and operate and there are plenty of replacement parts available should the need ever arise. The price is sometimes higher than other similar kits but it is well worth the investment. You definately get what you pay for. br /I will probably be using this kit for the rest of my life because I plan on always keeping clean healthy fish.br /PYTHON ROCKS!!

I used to procrastinate when it came to my tank changes. I dreaded them. Hauling buckets through the house, inevitably spilling dirty water all over myself. ugh. I have two red eared sliders and let me tell you, they are filthy animals. And to make matters worse, they are very susceptible to illness due to poor husbandry. I know! I spent $400 on vet bills once that could have been prevented if I had taken better care of their tank.br /br /With the Python, I not only don't dread, but I actually look forward to cleaning their tank. It's so EASY! It takes a fraction of the time and there's no mess! No back breaking hauling of dirty water through the house and I can do other things while it's draining/ filling. br /br /I would definitely recommend purchasing one. It is such a great product. No tank owner should be without one!
