The reviews were right!! =D May 20, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Our kitty (1.5 years old) loves this toy! We've gotten her probably 15 different toys in the last few months and she plays with this one the most, by far. br /br /She prefers to play with it on her own (doesn't really enjoy chasing it) which is actually perfect, since we can't give her all the attention she desires. Sometime we'll look over and she's just rolling around with it, holing it in all four paws, rubbing her face in the orange fuzz and biting the feathers. Then she'll put it down and rub her whole body all over it. Clearly it's because of the catnip, but we've had other cat-nip toys of far less interest to her. br /br /Quality: The problem with most cat toys seems to be the feather getting ripped out. We've had this one for a couple months now and ALL of the feathers are still intact, despite her constant tugging on them. The Velcro that holds the catnip in is solid, does not leak, and does not stick out to scratch her or anything.br /br /Overall, it's her favorite solo toy, but when playing "chase" she's prefers the classic "feathers on a stick."
My cat was not a fan until... May 13, 2008 My cat was not a fan of this until I tied it on a string and hung it on his "luxury suite". He would have nothing to do with it before... even with the cat nip. I dont think he likes the cat nip... he sniffs peoples shoes longer than he sniffs that thing. It is a cute toy and maybe better for cats who love cat nip. For now he plays with it if it is swinging above him.
Not bad March 29, 2008 My cats play it sometimes. Not their favorite but at least they play it.
A hit with two of three cats March 6, 2008 I have a 3 yr old and an 8 yr old who love this (and another 8 yr old who is totally uninterested.) 8 yr old #1 is unbelievably crazy about the carrot; I think it's the combination of waving feathers over her head with the catnip scent (which you can always keep fresh due to the velcro pouch). Her head starts to twitch when the carrot comes out. We purchased a 2nd carrot after about 2 years, when the feathers in the 1st one had started losing their life.
Unbelieveable! February 13, 2008 I bought one of these for my older, very large, and hard to impress cat. I couldn't believe his reaction. He immediately went for it. It can't be because of the catnip because he's never been intrigued by that before. I think it's the feathers although I also bought the squirrel (no feathers) which he also plays with. My 15 pound, 12 year old cat went berserk for this toy. He throws it in the air, chases it, and chews on it. I will buy more!!
