LOVE IT!!! October 8, 2008 I bought this seat for my 4 1/2 year old and I am so happy that I did. This seat has all the features I was hoping for! I wanted my son to be in a 5-point harness for safety, as well as accommodate him as he grew both in height and weight. This seat will take him up to 65 pounds with the 5-point harness which I LOVE, and when he is ready, it will convert to a booster seat using the car belt. The location of the cup holder is great, it doesn't get in the way for all the additional car seats you need when you have other children or chaffering for play dates. The seat also has a lot of padding, making for a comfortable ride. I would definitely recommend this seat!
Graco Nautilus seat for Tall Todlers October 8, 2008 This seat fits my extra tall toddler perfectly. Tons of adjustability. Fits great in the 03 Grand Cherokee. Most importantly my 2 1/2 year old is fitted properly and my toddler looks really comfortable.
Great combination seat October 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this as a second car seat for my 1997 Honda Civic after looking for a good car seat for my small car. The Britax roundabout is in my husband's 1998 Honda Accord. I read rave reviews and also the negative ones about not much padding and head falling forward or little recline. I like this seat because it will grow with my child and change to a booster up to 100 lbs. Although it is not as soft as the Britax and does not have Gracopedic foam, it seesm to be adequately padded. I like the shoulder and buckle pads. My son (2Y) looks comfortable in it, but for a long car ride (e.g. 5 hours or more) I will probably use the Britax. I agree the recline is not impressive, but on the "steepest" recline, and with the natural lean backward of the Honda seat, my son's head does not fall forward when sleeping, but leans on the side. The mesh lining makes it a little more breathable for his sweaty baby head. I assembled it and installed it myself without my husband's help. The seat cover is more complex than the Britax, but so far it appears to hold. It is one heavy seat, though, and I will probably not try to bring it onto a plane as a five-point harness seat. The seat fits fine in the rear center and an average size person can still fit on either side of it.
Completely Wonderful Car Seat!!!! October 5, 2008 I bought this after reviewing the Kyle David Miller memorial video online, and knew we needed a 5 point seat for our 5 year old. I actually reviewed numerous seats online, then went to B'R'US to actually check out the fit with her in tow. As we couldn't buy Britax on our budget, this was comparable, has a higher torso height than others, and also had a taller head rest capability. I HIGHLY recommend this seat!I'll buy another for our 3 yo when he outgrows what he has (his seat currently only goes up to 40 lbs in the 5 pt. harness).
Satisfied October 3, 2008 We bought this for our one-year-old grandson as a step up from his rear-facing seat. We hope it will be the last seat he will ever need. Assembly was straightforward as long as you read the manual. Supposedly, this seat is smaller than most of the Britax models, but it sure takes up a lot of room in the back of our Passat. Installation was easy with the LATCH system. We tried this out on a 7-hour drive to a wedding and he obviously prefered facing forward (not so much screaming as in the rear-facing seat). One disappointment, the recline feature is negligible, but he seemed to sleep just fine.
