I love my rottweiler shepherd mix. She is a gentle loving dog. However, at the change of season, she sheds so much, that I considered finding her a new home. The amount of hair in my house is overwhelming. I usually bathe and brush her myself because of the cost involved in professional grooming. At my wits end this year, I decided to take a risk and purchase the Furminator Large de-shedding tool. It works! During the first week, I brushed her every other day for about an hour (keeping the vacuum next to me so I could suck up all the hair as I brushed her). The difference was noticeable immediately. Her coat shined as if she had just been bathed. After the first week, I no longer had to vacuum my home every day. I now brush her once a week with the Furminator and her coat is brilliant. I know the extreme shedding season is over, but I don't have to bathe her as much now. And the best part of all is that she loves it! In addition, the ordering process was smooth, quick and easy. The purchase arrived in a couple of days.

I was skeptical and a little put off by what I considered a high price for the FURminator, but it does deliver as advertised. It has greatly reduced our dog's shedding. I recommend this product and would buy it again.

I own a Husky/Collie mixed breed who is pretty much on continual shedding mode. I use this outside on my dog as the amount of fur it can remove is overwhelming! Afterwards her coat looks great and she looks thinner ! It also reduces the amount of fur floating around my home and intensive vacuuming sessions on my upholstery. I would caution that you don't use it over and over on one area as you may make your dog sore.(I usually start with a wide tooth metal comb to remove big tangles first.)

A very good little tool here, and the blades don't cut the fur which is nice. The blades may look intimidating but they are really very soft. My two cats like being bruished with it very much, but won't tolerate it for too long of a period so I have to do it little by litte. In the litte chunks of time I do brush them, a lot of fur comes out! Just a warning, I suggest you do this outside. I experienced quite a 'furricane' when I used it the first time.

We are a 5 cat household and there is no shortage of cat fur during those periods of the year when cats shed most. Our cats are indoor cats, so grooming is extra important to help them avoid hairballs (since they won't get all the grass and roughage inside as they would outside).
I have tried MANY different de-shedding tools out there and spent a small fortune on de-shedding wipes, cat food that helps eliminates hairballs and other brushes and de-shedding gloves. Nothing ... I mean NOTHING works as well as this Furminator. The cats love it and so do we! We got the small one and this provides great coverage for cats.
Please note that the Furminator is not good on cats that might have knots in their fur (a long-haired cat or outdoor cat). You'll want to be careful that there are no knots in your kitty's fur to ensure a comfortable experience.
The Furminator is amazing! Get one and watch the fur begin to disappear around your house.
