Purchased this item after borrowing someones to give it a try. It was amazing how much fur I removed from my 2 dogs and 1 cat. I instantly noticed less hair around the house. The best part, all the animals loved being brushed with it.

Does remove more fur than average brush but must use much care when brushing as can pull fur; also fur cannot have tangles; decent product; might work better on dog with shorter fur; (have a medium sized dog-35lbs-retriever/chow/etc. mix)

My sister recommended the Furminator to me while visiting. She couldn't say enough good things about this product. I was quite skeptical because I have a lab and you couldn't pet him without getting fur all over him and my floor. He gets brushed with different brush products. I tried all sorts and thought I was getting the fur off him the best I was able to without taking him to the groomers. Well I ordered the furminator after her coaxing, and received it a couple of days later. I couldn't believe how much fur came off my dog!!!! I filled half a garbage bag with his fur. As an added result, shedding has improved dramatically, and he looks 25lbs lighter. The Furminator does what it claims. It's pricey, but well worth it's weight in gold. I would recommend this product with a definite thumb's up!!!

This brush is great for Labs b/c it gets all of the fur off without harming labs sometimes dry skin underneath. I brush my lab once a week and the fur on the floor has been reduced. Also it leaves his coat very smooth and shiny.

I purchased this for my cats in preparation for the summer months when they shed their winter coats. The first time I used it, huge wads of hair came out - not nearly as much as the photos/adverts had shown, but quite a bit considering my cats' short hair. It was easy to use and seemed like it would pull hair endlessly. The only con - you have to continually clear the hair from the blade or it does not work as well. This meant after every other stroke, I had to clear the blade which is not easy when you have 2 squirming cats. Aside from that, it has been great at keeping the hair levels down in the entire apartment as well as keeping my cats fur nicely groomed and shiny.
