This bed is a perfect fit for our 55 pound husky. The bed is easy to put together and feels solid and can used indoors or out. Our dog loves the outdoors and we keep the bed on our deck so that he will have a nice spot to relax when we are out on the deck. The bed can be placed standing up against the house if you need to move it out of the weather.

Our previous dog beds have been the foam rubber or pillow types. They seem to quickly lose their shape and are a pain to wash. Also, our dog likes to rub his face on his bed after he eats (must have a bit of raccoon in him ;-). His "washing" activity always ended up sliding his bed across the floor.
This Petmate bed takes care of the sliding problem quite nicely. Also, the canvas covering wipes down easily and can be washed if you remove the foam-covered board from its velcro-closed pouch and disassemble the frame. Its not hard to do, but I'd rather not. To alleviate the washing issue, and to provide a little more cushion for the dog, we bought an inexpensive fleece blanket that we fold and place in the bed. The dog arranges the blanket to his liking, and it (the blanket, not the dog) can be easily cleaned in the washer.
Best of all...my wife approves.

I purchased three of these for my German Shepherds to use in their outdoor kennels during the day. They did not even last three months. The screws that hold the frame together sheared off on two of the beds and are impossible to replace. The third bed is still in use but shows signs of doing the same thing soon. I suppose they would be good for smaller dogs or for indoor use but I would not buy again.

My dog loves this bed!! Easy to assemble, looks nice, a great deal for the price. I feel better with him off the floor and out of drafts. Easy to clean the bed and the sleeping area around the bed. He's been in it since I put it together, and keeps going back when I call him out. Lightweight, but sturdy construction. Odered for Christmas on 12/9. Stated wouldn't ship till 12/26. Got shipment notification e-mail on 12/9, rec'd bed on 12/10. FAST shipping.

These beds are awesome. Our two Yorkies share a small one and our Silkie has one of his own. They're great for indoor use--very sturdy and nice looking.
