Amazon.com It's not getting old yet, is it? Boston Red Sox fans who bought every shard of memorabilia from the magical season of 2004 could be forgiven for budgeting for the 2007 postseason with a more seasoned eye, but the basic keepsake remains: this official DVD boxed set including every pitch of the World Series against the Colorado Rockies as well as the three final ALCS wins against the Indians (combined score: 40-5). Many fans will wish the first four Indians games were included as well: the pleasure of a win is only increased by watching the struggle it took to get there. But the big moments are here: Josh Beckett's door-slamming performances in game 5 of the ALCS and game 1 of the Series, J.D. Drew's $14 Million Grand Slam, the endless rookie heroics, Jon Lester's shutout innings to sweep the Series, and Mike Lowell's MVP performance.p The format of the DVD collection will be familiar to many fans by now: the game-only Fox broadcasts, set up so you can jump to any half-inning you want, along with a bonus DVD of season highlights, postgame celebrations (yes, including the Papelbon Dance), and interviews, all packaged in info-rich sleeves full of stats and facts. And the best new feature of the year is a boon to anyone who'd prefer to relive the victories without having to invite Tim McCarver and Joe Buck back into their homes: for the World Series games you can choose to switch the audio track over to the Sox (or Colorado Rockies) radio broadcast. Nothing says New England baseball like the voice of Joe Castiglione, especially when he's announcing that Lenora Bevola of Sandwich is that night's contestant for the Mass State Lottery. i--Tom Nissley/i

Comments May 17, 2008 It's an excellent set for a Sox fan to relive their run to the championship. The only thing I wish MLB would do is what the NBA and NHL do is release the champions conferance final series as well complete. I wish MLB had continued what they done in 2004. Also wish they included game 2 of the ALDS featuring Manny Ramirez game winning three run home run.
What's not to like? March 24, 2008 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
OK, so maybe they could have put more in about the sweep of Anaheim, and maybe (OK, probably) they could have included a clip of the Mothers Day Miracle in the bonus DVD, but this set ROCKS!br /br /What's not to like about the 3rd WS victory for the Bosox in 4 years? What's not to like about being able to fast-forward through Joe Buck and Tim (bad hair-dye job) McCarver every game? And what's not to like about them throwing in games 5-7 of the ALCS, where the Sox came back and just demolished the Indians, who actually thought they had a chance to win.br /br /Go Sox!!!
How to you get the radio announcers? February 11, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is not a bad set. However, there no direction or choice for the radio announcers vs. the Fox announcers (who no self-respecting Red Sox fan can stand). I'm pretty savvy with stuff like this, but can't find it anywhere. Can anyone out there help?
Great Set!!! February 5, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is just as advertised. My only regrets are that they don't show ALL of Clay's no-hitter nor do they show all of the ALCS/ALDS. But they do state that in the product information.
Very Disappointing! January 24, 2008 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
After the spectacular 2004 version, this package is disappointing (at best)for even the most ardent Sox fan like myself. Limited game selection and VERY poor quality broadcasts (they look like a TV broadcast of a TV broadcast, even on HD TV) make this a flop. MLB's World Series DVD is surprisingly better, and almost as comprehensive.
