I have a german sheperd lab who is 3 years old and about 82 pounds. She has been wearing the gentle leader since she was a puppy. It doesn't hurt her at all and it prevents her from pulling me down. She can still breathe, drink water and bark with it on. More humane than a halter or choke chain.
