This is a total ripoff. Avoild like the plague! It should'nt even get 1 star. I rec'd the package and it was not in the original packaging. It did not indicate if itwas for dogs or cats. I needed for cats and you could kill your cat if yoyou use products for dogs. Amazon, you need to remove this seller from yyour seller's. They are misrepresenting their product and could possilby KILL someone's pet!

I use this for a colony of cats that live outside. Best stuff I ever made. They are feral so I never could put a flea collar on them but I do have a few friendly cats so I do frontline them. I am sure they appreciate it.

After reading the item description, reserching the chemical composition of Frontline Plus, I wouild like to provide some additional information dispel some myths regarding the product.br /br /MYTH #1: Front Line Plus for Dogs is unsafe to use on cats. Wrong. If you check the ingredients, you will find that the names of the ingredients in Frontline Plus for Dogs AND for Cats are exactly identical. br /br /HOWEVER... What is NOT identical is each of the chemical concentrations. br /br /The concentration of Fipronil, in the Dog Cat formulas, is the same percentage for both dogs cats. Fipronil is the ingredient that actually kills the fleas. br /br /What is different, however, is the S-Methoprene concentration - the ingredient that sterilizes the flea eggs larva so that they become inert cannot develop into adults. The concentration of S-Methoprene in Frontline Plus For Dogs (8.8%) is 25% less than that of Frontline Plus For Cats 9 (11.8%) solution - therefore, in using this product, you will be applying 1/4 less S-Methoprene than you would be, if you bought Frontline Plus For Cats. You'd get the same amount of pesticide in a .5ml dose, but you will get less sterilizing agent. br /br /Therefore, using .5ml of Frontline Plus For Dogs, on a cat, may be less effective you may see more fleas. Because less are being sterilized are allowed to develop.br /br /MYTH #2: You can break the seal pour out .5ml of Frontline Plus into a container, expect it to stay fresh for 8 months. The truth? Probably not.br /br /I called Frontline's 1-800 # asked them, if more than 1 tubette of Frontline Plus were opened at one time - could you save the extra one opened in a sterile vial until next month? They told me the product is designed to be used at the time it is opened, she did not know whether it could be saved used in 1 month, still work identically. Let alone 8 months. So it is possible this product may become less effective over time. No one knows. br /br /Merial Labs, the producer of Frontline Plus, does not manufacture their materials to be opened used over 8 months - this kid is doing it on his own.br /br /Which brings me to...br /br /MYTH #3: If you're opening packets of a product, repackaging them, selling them yourself... no one can "hijack" the product. If any product is being hijacked, it's Frontline Plus' - but to copy a reseller's redistribution technique technically not hijacking (ie. stealing a product selling it as your own) - it is to copy a marketing technique - that is what we in the US call... Capitalism. :) br /br /If you don't own the company that has sole legal rights to manufacture market a given product, anyone can do what they want with it without infringing on your rights. Unless the law catches up to you, one all.br /br /So, these things said... Whether it is a smart idea to use a flea protection in a lesser concentration than what is necessary to protect your cat - opened 8 months ago poured into a vial - becomes a more pertinent question. Your home your pet may be ok, but then again, they may not. Things often happen to the compositions integrity of some chemicals once the original seals are broken air hits them. Some flea products cannot be broken open saved in a container at all still work (eg. Promeris). You can try it, if a flea infestation develops over time, or if the one you have fails to abate proliferates into something requiring an exterminator - you'll know.br /br /Furthermore, without all of the actual US company packaging, you could be buying anything. Counterfeit Frontline Plus IS out there, some reproductions are ok some are quite bad. But you'll have no concrete proof of where your Frontline Plus actually came from, unless it's bought from a veterinarian. This may be a marketing agreement on the part of Frontline vets designed to monopolize the market consume all profits - but at least you'll be guaranteed the product's quality consistency.br /br /My hope for this post is to educate the public with the information I've uncovered via research personal experience. The decision is ultimately up to you, but I would advise you to do your own research, make your own informed decision, "caveat emptor"... ie. buyer beware.br /br /

I was thrilled to find Frontline in 'bulk' form, and happy to hear I could use it safely on my feline friends. If you've used Frontline with success this is a great way to save some money and keep the flea population at bay. br /br /The packaging looks very generic. It is important to follow the directions. There is NO LABEL on the little bottle that you pour the pipette contents into, so I would recommend getting a sharpie marker and labelling it with the name of the product and the proper dosing amount so it is evident in the future. br /br /Addendum: I noticed one reviewer has stated that this product is unsafe for cats. I shall stress that you must use the proper amount, which is much less than for dogs. I have used this product on my kittys (and I LOVE my feline friends) with great success, and no ill effects. Just use the CORRECT AMOUNT! This product works systemically, unlike many other flea killers which work topically.
