 Helpful for hotspots November 30, 2008
I bought this product because my dog developed a hot spot on his right front leg some time back. He would lick it incessantly and the area was becoming a little sore. At times during the night, he would do it so much that I would wake up from my sleep. Anyway, after doing some research I decided to get this product. br /br /I have just started using it (a couple of weeks) and I have to say that it has stopped my dog from licking his sore spot. He does not have any apparent problems with digestion so I cannot comment on the digestive properties of the product. I use it with his regular food as recommended. In the beginning, he would eat his food and leave the portion with the powder on it and I had to feed him that part. But now, he does not seem averse to its taste (whatever it tastes like). I suggest that you start with a small quantity and then gradually increase to the correct amount - as the product suggests. I am waiting for the hot spot to heal completely and hence the four stars. Once it does I will give it five stars. br /

Prozyme helps your pet maximize assimilation of the vitamins and minerals in their canned food. I have used it for years for my cats (it's good for dogs too) and my cats (who are 6 7 yrs old) are in excellent health and have had no problems. Their coats are beautiful, their eyes are clear (never runny) and they always have excellent checkups at the veterinarian. I highly recommend this product to anyone who has dogs or cats.

You can't go wrong with prozyme -- helps my dog who has allergies to everything digest her food and be less gassy.

Prozyme changed my life and saved me tons of money at the vet. My cat had a puking problem and threw up at at least once a day on average. I was always stepping in it, it was so gross and not nice to live with. I took her to the vet several times spending hundreds of dollars on tests that always came out clean. Next they wanted to do an endoscopey! The nurse called once again to tell me of the clean results of a new test and asked if I tried Prozyme. I tried it and we are hooked. Now kitty never throws up except for the rare occasion of a hairball. I will never feed her again with out stirring some of this magical powder in!

Like us when our pets eat healthy they have fewer medical problems and will hopefully enjoy a life free of medical issues. I feed my dogs ground turkey (no by-products)(and Nutro Lite dry kibble) so I supplement their diets with Prozyme (and other supplements).
