Great big cage, but included water bottle and wheel not so good August 22, 2008 I purchased my cage from a retailer not from this seller or amazon. I have a large female Syrian hamster that needed a lot of space to occupy her. the cage was very sturdy, I like the little food bowls and the gravity feeder. Automatically replaced the wheel with a ball bearing silent wheel but thought that maybe she'd have a go on it for a bit too. That wheel wouldn't support her it looked like it was meant for a dwarf. The water bottle's nozzle popped off when I lined it up to put it on the bars. When i held the nozzle back and filled it the bottle leaked.br /br /br /As for the problems that other's have had with the tubes and the directions... mine didn't come with them but if you push them against the shelf and turn they will lock enough to be safe the same goes on the little collars that come with them too.br /br /She loves the cage though and it's one of the best I've seen. The Jack 72 was the cage that I had wanted but this one was so big that I desided to go smaller. good luck!
Great cage - forget the tubes, though! August 21, 2008 Ordered this cage for our new pet hamster, so she'd have plenty of room to run around. I loved the idea of the 2nd level accessible through the Habittrail-like plastic tube arrangement.br /br /The cage is great, the 2nd level platform is great, love the covered potty, cutest little pooper scooper you've ever seen. But FORGET the tubes! Trying to assemble them was a nightmare! The instructions were all by way of illustrations, the only word printed was the word "clack", which I guess is their way of saying that the tube parts were supposed to just pop together easily. Well, there was NO 'clack' involved in the tube assembly process. The fittings between the tube parts were very poorly designed, and you'd no sooner get one joint assembled than it would fall apart when you attempted to assemble the joint next to it.br /br /We ended up using only one little section of the tubing to connect the upper and lower levels, and Izzy generally climbs on top of that instead of going up through it. They'd have been better off using little ramps instead of this sub-standard tubing.br /br /Leaving the tubing out of the equation, however, this is a fine, roomy home, quite well built and Izzy is very happy in it.
