Plenty of room December 1, 2008
My 70 pounder has plenty of room, actually too much! The bed bottom is very lofty. Sides are high. I was pleased. Although, I am thinking I should have gotten the smaller size since he wants to curl up in a ball in the winter time. I was hoping his new bed would deter him from wanting to sleep on the couch, but it hasn't.

Previously my dog would only sleep on the couch, love seat, and the children's beds. (Anywhere but his own bed.) However, this was before we purchased this bed. We purchased the large versus the medium size, which we first thought was too large for our 40-pound dog. However, it's the right size for Charlie since he loves to stretch out and sleep in various positions. Excellent buy!!

I put it on the floor and she immediately lay down in it. She stays there for hours while I'm at the computer. Before, when I had only a mat on the floor, she would scrunch the mat into a ball before lying down on it, but she is happy to sleep in this donut just as it comes. Not cheap but obviously comfortable. Wish I had one for myself.

This bed is a comfy choice for our medium-large mutt (55-60 lb.) and his little sister, a dachshund. It is not quite as large as I thought it would be because of its puffy construction. They seem to love it and really enjoy the bumper edges which act as a pillow to elevate the head slightly. My only beef with this bed is that you cannot remove the cover to launder it. Would purchase again - the price was excellent and the quality also.br /br /J.M.Samples

Our relatives got one of these beds for our dogs as a gift. We have 2 large dogs (~80lbs each and similar in shape to large goldens). Having never had a bed before it took them a little while to try it out, but once they did they loved it!! They will actually race back to the bed at night to determine who gets to sleep in it and if one gets up the other races over to take their place. We're definitely going to get a second one!
