The measurement from the collar out to the edge of the cone is 6" Customer Reviews: better than the hard plastic type   February 26, 2008  1 out of 1 found this review helpful I just bought this for my Dachshund. he has had a big problem with allergies this year. this comfy cone is great for him to sleep in and makes it a lot easier to maneuver around the house. I can fold it back to let him eat, so I don't end up cleaning it after every meal. the only problem is that my Dachshund can still reach his back paws around the cone, other than that we like it.
