3 out of 5 stars Not great/Not terrible   July 11, 2008

I watched these until they dropped to 1/2 of their original price and I am glad I did. I would be unhappy if I had paid the full retail.

However, for the $6 I paid, these are pretty good clippers. I prefer the guillotine style. I have 4 cats, but this is perfect for dogs, as well.

Although I agree with the first reviewer that the light is not very useful, I didn't have trouble keeping it one, or feel the it wasn't the proper length. I think it is just a bit cumbersome and takes some practice. Or you can do as I did, and have DH remove that little screw that holds it on and tadah...no light problems. And since I didn't pay anymore than I would have for clippers sans the light, then it works out well for me.

2 out of 5 stars Useless Light   June 28, 2007

While "guillotine" style clippers are great, the light is difficult to turn on and when it does come on, varies in brightness while in use. The bendable light just doesn't seem long enough to get close enough to the nail to see through and seems more in the way.
