I found this item at a local pet store. It was extremely easy to train my Labrador to stay within the containment, after about 3 months we don't have to worry about her having the collar on all the time when she is out, she just stays within the zone. a bit of hard work to install but definitely less work than installing a traditional fence. Worth every penny.
Very helpful in reenforcing the fence February 19, 2008
We bought this fence to reenforcing our existing chain link fence. Now, the dogs will go right up to the fence but will not jump over or dig under! We are very pleased.

We installed this system several years ago and it has been great. With a home full of young kids it's nice to be able to let the dog out and not worry about her running away. She knows her boundaries and will even stay put without the collar being on. We've never had any problems with the line (ours is buried safely under the ground) or with the collar (our dog's neck has never had any issues, and she's a very furry golden retriever).
All in all I think this technology is great - I would assume other manufacturer's products would work equally as well, since the technology is pretty simple and easy to use.

This product is not worth the money. I had it installed professionally which tripled the cost. The collars are poorly designed. I have two labs and it is very difficult to get the collars on them. The buckle and snap are not positioned well. The snap is on the side which makes it somewhat difficult to remove the collar and is useless when it comes to putting it on them. The "comfort-fit" is not exactly accurate. If you leave the collar on for an extended period (and you will after a few times of trying to put them on), sores develop on the dog's neck.
Currently my fence has been "out of order" for several weeks because I don't have time to find the wire break. I could reinstall the whole system in the amount of time that it takes to find the break. There must be a better alternative on the market. I just wish that I would have found it before buying this one.
