Finally - a kong he likes! March 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought a puppy kong and put peanut butter and some meaty treats (hey, you put your chicken in my peanut butter!) and my dog was bored to tears. But when I got this and put 1/2 a piece of jerky that he never gets to eat (too rich) in either end - he was so occupied trying to get the jerky out - he didn't see or hear me leave and when I came back 30 minutes later - he was still gnawing on it. Another reviewer commented on the shape - the jerky works well and I used a popsicle stick or dull butter knife to poke the leftovers out when finished. It seemed easier to clean than the regular kong, frankly.

The upside of the Kong Goodie Bone is that it withstands the razor-sharp teeth of my over-sized Pomeranian, Tiger Kowalski, who managed to eat a four inch circular hole in the wall. He loves his bone, plays with it a lot, and gnaws on it with impunity.
What I don't like is the "goodie" capability. The Kong stuffing items are over-priced. Tiger Kowalski can remove literally anything I stuff it with in a matter of seconds. Stuffing it with anything soft is a bad idea as it sticks inside, rots, and is hard to clean out.
Nonetheless, if you have a dog who can chew through almost anything, this product seems to hold up quite well. I did, however find it cheaper at my local Petsmart, but then again, I ordered it to bring an Amazon order to $25 for free shipping; thus, it worked out to be cheaper in the long run.
great buy January 19, 2008 my dog absolutly loves this bone.I put treats in the ends and it keeps her occupied for a good hour. Love it.
