Product Description Ideal for big cats or multiple-cat households, this large roll-away litter box quickly self-cleans, while controlling dust and containing odors. Simply roll the litter box to the right until the top touches the floor, and then roll it back to the upright position. The unit's internal mechanism deposits the clumped waste into the pullout waste tray for easy disposal. The system works only with clumping litter, and the waste tray separates clumped waste from clean litter, so clean litter is never thrown away. The litter box makes it easy to provide the cat not only with a clean litter box, but also with privacy due to the covered pan design. The litter box also helps save money--no more scoops, liners, or filters to buy. With a silver top and blue base, the litter box measures 19-1/2 by 22 by 20 inches with a 9-by-9-inch opening.

Best Litter Box EVER!!!!! July 5, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased two of these litter boxes, one for upstairs and one for downstairs, as we have two cats.
I did several hours of research trying to find a litter box that was the best for the money and easiest to maintain. Well I found it. I just don't understand any of the negative reviews on this box. You are supposed to roll it everyday, but I work 3 days a week, 12-14 hour days, so sometimes it's several days before I get it rolled. Even when you wait more than one day to empty, it's still great.
Even better, I use the deodorized clumping cat litter, and with two cat's I didn't have to change the litter for one month. I filled it with about 3-4 inches of litter and it has lasted 4 weeks. That in itself is terrific.
When I roll it over, I go very slow and after it is all the way over, I lightly tap the bottom to loosen anything sticking to the bottom. Then I just slowly roll it back. I do roll it on over to bring all of the litter back to the potty chamber.
Then take the handle of the poopie tray, pull out, empty then return it back to it's slot.
Can't begin to tell you how much time I save, not to mention how easy it is.
My daughter has two cat's also, and she took one of my litter boxes to try. She had the same reaction as I did. She loved it.
Why spend $100.00 to $300.00 for these self cleaning electric boxes that cost a fortune to maintain? This is the best money spent and was less than $50.00 bucks. Well worth it and more some.
I would recommend this to anyone that has cat's. Truly a good buy.
Best litter box on the planet July 3, 2008 Cheap...easy to clean...no electronics to break...what more can be said. If you have cat(s) you should get this litter box. It makes daily cleaning of the box fun!
EXCELLENT!! A dream litter box except for one thing... June 28, 2008 I recently adopted two little kitties from the humane society and love them to bits! I did however very quickly dub them as "my two teeny furry wrecking balls" ....because my bathroom started to constantly look as if it had just been hit by a bomb... and I had to spend over an hour each day cleaning up. There was just litter EVERYWHERE. Until they are a bit older I have to leave them in the bathroom overnight until all the animals are used to eachother, and each morning after waking up I would be absolutely terrified to peek into the bathroom, not really wanting to see the aftermath from the night before and just knowing that there was going to be another huge mess. In desperation I scoured the reviews over here at Amazon for better litter boxes and the Omega Paw seemed to have the best recommendation, according to all the people who owned one. Well, I took the plunge and got one and installed it yesterday morning. I also used some absorbent pearl litter, mixed into the usual clumping litter, to help with the smell. Well... I cannot rave enough about this litter box!! Last night when I cleaned the litter box (I clean it 2 to 3 times per day, don't have to much more than that bcos they are still only kitties) it was SO easy, I was absolutely amazed and ecstatic!! WHAT a difference!! I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this! The only thing is that halfway thru yesterday, there still seemed to be a little litter here and there on the floor around the box (altho' a VAST improvement from before) so I went out and bought a medium-sized "Petmate Litter Catcher" mat to put just in front (& slightly under) the litter box. The guy at Petsmart really recommended that mat and said it would catch most of the litter. I think the main reason that there was litter outside of the box again is because they are very playful kittens and this new litterbox seemed like an exciting adventure for them... they just could not get enough of entering the box and exploring the exciting new kitty cavern!
Well, the REAL test would still be coming, as they still had to spend some time overnight with the new litterbox! It was usually during the night that their wrecking-ball super talents surfaced. When I woke up this morning, with trepidation, I slowly opened the bathroom door wondering what I would see... and, lo and behold, all that I saw was a CLEAN bathroom!! I was ECSTATIC!! All I had to do was roll the litter-box, empty the tray and I was done in 2 minutes! A 58-minute saving there and then... I could spend the rest of the time celebrating and coming here to write a review of course, and so I did:)
The ONLY drawback are those super-weak latches/tabs that hold the top in place. Those are REALLY weak and I am scared they are going to break off very quickly after cleaning the box a few times. However, if they do, all I will do is simply drill holes and use nuts & bolts to tighten them the old-fashioned way... an easy fix.
GET this box, you will NOT be sorry!!
Manual scooping is still better June 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
For those who absolutely hate the scoop I am somewhat impressed with the design of this box. However, scooping is still superior for these reasons: 1. You get the pee clumps and poops out faster with the scoop, 2. You will waste less litter with the scoop (some clean litter will end up in this box's clean-out tray, 3. This box is much taller than a regular covered box, 4. You will need a fair amount of space where the box sits to roll it, 5. It is quite heavy to role when it is loaded with litter. If you don't mind the scoop don't get this box. Bottom line is this box is significantly more work than the scoop. I tried one for a week then returned it. Amazon's return policy/processing is top-notch.
Tried Them All - This Is The Best June 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been using this for over six months and have four indoor cats. Defore buying this, I swore by the Littermaid Automatic litter boxes and had several of them. I tried the Scoop Away contender too. This one beats them all by far. For the money, you can't go wrong. There is less litter left on the floor with this unit. When the remaining two Littermaids wear out, I'll get two more of these.
