Great Set of Clippers June 27, 2008 After using these a couple of times on my long thick haired dog I am very pleased with the way they cut. I have tried cheaper sets purchased from pet stores but they would barely cut her hair. I would definitely recommend these.
Very good clippers for multiple animal households May 11, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
These are expensive, but worth it. I bought a $80 Andis model at Petsmart and they lasted six months. I have had these for almost a year, and with 3 dogs, and cat, they are great. Only downside is that they're too big for little faces ( I have 2 shih-tuz and one Lhasa ). I have purchased a set of Oster mini-max for faces, and just use scissors. Haven't tried clipper guards or diff. size blades, but the clippers paid for themselves the first usage. At $50 per dog, per groom, a $150 set doesn't seem so outrageous. Don't bother buying anything cheaper if you groom your dog on a regular basis and are trying to save money on a professional groomer. You'll end up buying a new set of clippers every year.
Really good clippers April 10, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a really good set of clippers. I have a poodle mix with hair that you'd expect to see on a sheep! These clippers don't clog up and they are quiet too! A good investment if you have a dog that needs clipping.
Great Clippers, worth higher price. March 20, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought these clippers after using cheaper (~50$) Andis and Oster models for about 2 years. These are far superior - they cut easy and smooth, they do not wear out, and you can actually shrpen their blades at your local pet store.
Only one drawback - Plastic adapter kit with different length adapters do not work. I bought original Oster adapter kit, for this cutter and it is impossible to cut the dog's hair with adapter kit. But it is not the clippers fault.
Just buy 3 different length blades. they are easy to change. I bought 2 different length blades as my dos needs only 1/16 and 1/2. Also these clippers are soo nice in cutting hair - I almost do not use scissors anymore. Even fine trimming I do with the clippers.
disclaimer - I am cutting my own dog, and do not participating in a dog show - I do not use them for comemrcial purposes..
Fantastic January 2, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I own a shih-tsu and a persian/himalayan. I have tried three previous clipper sets ($30-80) and they were totally worthless. These clippers cut right through matting and knots and leave a nice smooth short-hair finish.
