No Corn! May 20, 2008 I can't believe it! i am so excited about finding this food, the ingredients are far more ballanced that most other diets.
I'm working on switching from matsuri block food to this. The dried corn that is used for making most rat blocks is a carrier of a certain fungus that causes cancer. The only corn in their diet should be human quality corn.
My rats love it, and due to the small amount they get every other day, they almost always finish it all off! I have 3 female rats and they give it 6 paws up!
Excellent food February 9, 2008 I'd read some reviews of this product that were both good and bad, but I took the chance and ordered it, and so far I (and my two female rats) are happy with it. Their coats are silky and shiny, and they are both bubbling with energy! However, this review doesn't come without a warning--I've read that older rats who are set in their ways and were previously on a seed diet (where they can play the favorite game and pick out what they like) may boycott this food all together. However, if you're willing to take the risk and your rats like it, the results are worth the money. Khloe and Xoe give this food two thumbs up!
wish the rats liked it better May 15, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I think this is a really healthy food for rats, it smells very fresh and is attractively packaged, and the only thing I find wrong with it is that my rats don't particularly like it. They will eat it quite well for a few days, but after that they kind of politely ignore it until there's nothing else in their bowls. Then they hide it behind their boxes or stack it in the corner as if by emptying their bowls they can cause new and DIFFERENT food to appear. Aside from that it really is the best rat food that I've found.
