 Litter Good, Price Bad July 19, 2008
This was and is very good litter at $13.99. However with the new price and the shipping fees this litter is now almost a dollar a pound. I love my kats but not that much. Back to wal-mart for me.

I feel bad about about the rating because the product is actually great, but the price is clearly a mistake and double the MSRP. I bought a shipment of this same item in April for $13.99 with free prime shipping. Now the price is $29.99 with $10 shipping. Can't really complain about the shipping charges with gas prices so high and this being heavy. As far as the price itself I have been back and forth with Customer Service explaining that the price more than doubled and that it must be a mistake. I pointed out that the same size in another variety is still sold by Amazon for 13.99. I pointed out that other online pet retailers are all still selling around $15. There just is no explanation that I can think of for the price to be $30, I bet they haven't sold a single item. But every email back is apologizing, explaining that the price is correct. So I'm back to buying my litter at target until Amazon finally wises up and corrects the price.

I love this litter, but with the new price I will have to take out a home equity loan to continue purchasing it through Amazon...back to Petsmart for me!

I have 5 inside cats and this is the best I've found (and I've tried them all). But I will no longer buy this through Amazon when I can get it at the local Petsmart for about $14. This has to be an error. If all of you out there who love this stuff will contact Amazon (I am), maybe they'll let us know what gives. Having said that, the product itself is exactly as advertised, no odor and almost no dust. Excellent!

what's with the price increase?
Add the shipping to the price, and this litter has definitely moved beyond the "somewhat expensive but worth it" to the "not worth it any more" category.
