Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
4-6 month supply of washable granules to be used with the CatGenie. The CatGenie Washable Granules will never need replacement but you will need to add additional granules when the level of the granules fall below the line on the bowl. On average you will need to add a few cups once a month and a box of granules should last between 4-6 months depending on the number of cats that use the CatGenie.

The plastic in the CatGenie Washable Granules have been specially formulated to be completely biodegrade in your sewer or septic system in about 9 months or less.

4 out of 5 stars Makes life easier   July 14, 2008
Took about 2 wks for cats to start using Cat Genie. Put old box next to it and did not clean it. Old box got REALLY bad before they started using it. It has made life easier not having to scoop. Have 2 cats, run cleaning about 3 times/day.

4 out of 5 stars Works for me   June 23, 2008
Since this is the only litter you can use with the CatGenie, it has to be OK. It does get all over the place, but works as advertised. The CatGenie people say that the granules are bio-degradeable and I certainly hope so. At least two tablespoons of the things end up getting flushed.

Amazon had the best price, plus a great deal where you buy 3 and get an additional one free. The only way to go.

4 out of 5 stars granules   May 30, 2008

I run our genie twice a day and get about a month out of one of these boxes. The product works great, and if it gets tracked out of the genie, its easy to clean up. The worst thing about these has to be the packaging. Every box I have received has been leaking granules as the ups guy drops it off. There is probably one quarter of each package gone by the time it gets to my door. A plastic liner like cereal boxes would go a long way. The only reason for four stars is the poor packaging.

3 out of 5 stars Cheapest ANYWHERE!!   May 10, 2008

And great free shipping.
Costs about as much as regualr cat litter.
It does get all over, even with the dome.
Keep a dust eater/dirt devil small portable vacuum nearby.

3 out of 5 stars Packaging leaks   May 7, 2008

I ordered 4 boxes of litter and they all shipped in one larger box. Each of the 4 boxes leaked some of the litter during shipping. I think the litter packaging needs to be improved, especially considering the high cost of the litter. Adding an inner bag sealed with a twist-tie would resolve the issue.
