5 out of 5 stars the magic carrot   September 4, 2008
I've had many cats over the past 30 years, and bought many more cats toys than I can recall. My cat loves her carrot! She retreives it when I ask her to go get her carrot... I wake in the morning and find it in bed with me. I bought it over 2 years ago and the feathers are long gone. You can wash it, I love the velcro opening so you can refill it with catnip. I am going to buy her several more. There's just something about this carrot!

5 out of 5 stars Best cat toy ever!   July 28, 2008
My thirteen year old cat LOVES this toy. She has never gotten tired of it.

5 out of 5 stars Best Cat Toy   July 17, 2008
Great cat toy. We have two cats. One is a 3 year-old and the other is a 4-month kitten. Both love it. The older cat really likes catnip and loves to scratch it and "attack" it with her back feet. The little one doesn't really react to catnip, but loves the feathers. Both enjoyed it so much that I am making another purchase.

Both pets didn't seem to like the other toys, but they both love feather toys. I'm glad this one worked and would say it ranks tops, along with the The Da Bird Value Pack (Includes 1 Da Bird Original Single 3 Foot Pole Cat Toy & 2 Replacement Feathers).

5 out of 5 stars My cat has a "carrot song," too!   May 20, 2008
I couldn't believe it when I read the review about the cat that "sings" to his carrot toy. I can tell immediately when Alfie has his favorite toy, because he starts talking to it. It is a distinctive kind of meowing that he does only for the carrot. I am purchasing my second carrot, and would never want Alfie to have to go without one. He brings it to me in his mouth several times a day, as if he is giving me a gift. Well worth the money to hear the carrot song!

5 out of 5 stars The reviews were right!! =D   May 20, 2008

Our kitty (1.5 years old) loves this toy! We've gotten her probably 15 different toys in the last few months and she plays with this one the most, by far.

She prefers to play with it on her own (doesn't really enjoy chasing it) which is actually perfect, since we can't give her all the attention she desires. Sometime we'll look over and she's just rolling around with it, holing it in all four paws, rubbing her face in the orange fuzz and biting the feathers. Then she'll put it down and rub her whole body all over it. Clearly it's because of the catnip, but we've had other cat-nip toys of far less interest to her.

Quality: The problem with most cat toys seems to be the feather getting ripped out. We've had this one for a couple months now and ALL of the feathers are still intact, despite her constant tugging on them. The Velcro that holds the catnip in is solid, does not leak, and does not stick out to scratch her or anything.

Overall, it's her favorite solo toy, but when playing "chase" she's prefers the classic "feathers on a stick."
