Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Cleanse cat hair of dander and other allergens with Allerpet solutions. Just dampen a washcloth, sponge or mitt with Allerpet solution and wipe over your cat's hair, both with and against the way it lays to cleanse hair of saliva and dander (the primary causes of allergic reactions to pets). Conditions skin, too, so cat doesn't groom himself as often. 12-oz bottle lasts approximately 3 months.

2 out of 5 stars Thought a HEPA Air Filter and the Fur-minator Comb worked much better   July 8, 2008
My boyfriend is allergic to cats. I didn't think this worked that well. My boyfriend says that our HEPA air filter, combined with brushing a cat with the Fur-Minator brush/comb, works much better than anything else... He actually noticed a HUGE improvement by using those 2 things.

5 out of 5 stars 6 cats...works very well for me   January 21, 2008
We have six cats. I have one cat in particular who has extra potent dander. I know when it is getting bad because my daughter will develop hives if she handles him. I use the Allerpet/C (soak him) on him and she has no hives for several weeks. I try to pro-actively use this on him. It is important to get the hind quarters where cats tend to clean themselves a lot. Benadryl works to rid my daughter of her hives very quickly and the Allerpet/C takes care of the cat. I also use it on the other cats, but do not find it necessary to do so weekly. I also have the comb (furminator) that does well in getting rid of a lot of hair and dander. (If you want another way to manage dander for a lot less, just use regular Dawn dish soap on your cat. I recommend you do this where you have two sinks, one to wash and one to rinse, and get through the process as quickly as you can.)

1 out of 5 stars Allerpet Let Me Down   January 12, 2008

It was a pain trying to put Allerpet C on my cats. They hated me every time and promptly licked all of it off. I could see no difference whatsoever in my allergies even after treating the cats twice a week for a month and cleaning my entire house after each treatment, right down to washing the walls, floors, upholstery and rugs. NADA. I wouldn't waste my money on this stuff. Instead I would recommend going to the doctor and getting some good Allergy medication! That's what I did and I kept my kitties.

3 out of 5 stars Works? Maybe...   December 5, 2007
I bought this product hoping it would help with my boyfriends allergies. Although I can't say that it doesn't, I can't honestly say that it does either. I used this product every week for the first 8 weeks along with weekly brushing and vacuuming but my boyfriends allergies were still bad. I vacuum everything (even the couches where the "dander balls" are forbidden to go) at least once or twice a week, but the allergies where still there. So I started to bath the kitties every 2 to 3 weeks, vacuum the house 1-2 times every week, and brush the kitties every week and the allergy problem is about the same as when I used the Allerpet. So...I can't say it works, but I can't say it doesn't. Try it and be the judge for yourself.

4 out of 5 stars Filled all the way?   March 8, 2007

I love this product -- it really does help my allergies with my cat. But I'm not sure I love the vendor I bought it from this time... It came well packaged and it's definitely the product I ordered -- not problems like that -- but strangely, the bottle seemed less than all the way full. (I've bought this product before and the bottle was filled to the top). It could have been a manufacturing error and nothing to do with this vendor, but I wasn't 100% pleased by it.
