The reason I purchased this product because I have 2 dogs, Shetland sheepdogs (lots and lots of hair, especially during shedding season), a long haired black cat (need I say more?), a cockatiel bird (feathers everywhere), My daughter and I have long hair. Well, this product really gets these items up off of the carpet and couch. Even after I have vaccuumed!!! This item is fantastic. It really seems to grab these hairs/stuff and pull it out of the carpet. And in my husband's local barber, they use this broom very similar to the pet hair eliminator, to sweep up all the hair...... The barber said that this broom really gets all the hair, and it's short hair, that with an ordinary broom, just gets swept and moved around the floor. With this item, the hair is swept away. I'd buy it again!

This brush is pretty weak. It is really bad if your animal has a lot of hair. I have a domestic short hair with a thick coat and this does absolutely nothing except push around the hair and make it airborne. It also does an inadequate job of removing hair from clothes/fruniture

After getting a yellow labrador as an indoor pet and already having a velour dark blue sofa, I have tried them all. I tried the spnge thing, no good, tried a sticky lint roller and that did well except for having to peel and reveal more sticky surface every few inches. I bought a cordless hand held vacuum and that helped a lot for furniture. Then I found this "pet hair eliminator" by a company called "Solutia Inc." at petsmart.com. This thing is remarkable! Not only does it rake all the pet hair up into a neat little ball for me to pick up, it even cleans the sofa by getting off all the loose fuzz and lint!! I am no longer searching for anything to remove pet hair, this is the thing for my cloth furniture and a vacuum for the carpet. Now all I have to do is start searching for a dietary supplement to help reduce the shedding in the first place.
This brush is great, try it.
