Customer Reviews: I poured in the food and it blasted open the hopper door, several lbs went on the floor!   December 4, 2007  2 out of 2 found this review helpful The first time I used this bin I poured in the food and it blasted open the hopper door and I spilled several pounds of dog food on the floor before I could stop the flow. I drilled the hinge pin on one side and inserted a 8-32x1 brass screw and added a few small stainless steel fender washers inside and out. I used a stainless 8-32 nylon lock nut and adjusted the tension on the screw untill the hopper door would stay closed. This took about a half hour to redesign, drill the hinge pin and locate the parts needed to repair and rehang the bin. A wall bracket to hang the bin on would be nice to have so that you could easiely remove the bin for cleaning. It's a little tough to hang on all 4 screws. One of the three refuses to stay closed so adding feed to it dumps it on the floor. One of the three works because I added a bit of duct tape and one works just fine out of the box.
