Every time I get this leash out, my dogs know they are going for a run and they can't hold in their excitement. The usually mellow nine year old starts by bouncing off the walls, then remembers that he must SIT if he is to be on the leash. The always excitable two year old dog starts running laps around the house - her warm up, I suppose.
Lots of ways to connect/disconnect, and I've even used the "belt" with a regular leash if I want to run with one dog on each side.

Nice, wide, soft nylon belt and leash, much better quality nylon than I expected. The dog's leash attaches to a loop that can slide around on the belt; this is good because it slides instead of pulling if the dog hangs back a little, but it can also slide right off when you're taking the belt off. Just a heads up. :)

This product is sturdy and offers great flexibility. I can use it for one or two dogs at a time, and if I let them off leash I can click the leashes back into the belt. Strong enough to withstand some nonsense from my naughty Lab too! I use it everyday for a German Shepherd and Lab and they can walk on the same side or one on my left and one on my right. I highly recommend it. I may even start carrying weights with me now that my hands are free!

The dog and I both love the Buddy System. We use it exclusively for running. We elected to skip the "lunge buster" attachment and haven't needed it. I can feel when she's slowing down to pee or sniff something and can react accordingly. The standard leash attachment on the Buddy System is highly expandable. At its shortest, the dog must stay on my left side and doesn't have enough tether to cross in front of my feet to get over to my right side. At it's longest, the dog has nearly 5 or 6 feet to wander away from me on all sides. This leash attachment can also be unhooked and used as a "regular" leash without the belt. The clips on the leash also allow you to unclip the dog (via a big plastic buckle) and hook the leash back up on the belt (for hands-free carrying). If you wanted to run/walk a route where the dog needed to be leashed for only part of the time, this would be a nice feature.
Our local "high-end" dog store sells this exact same product for nearly $40. We give it two thumbs and four paws up!

Before the Buddy System, I was reluctant to take my dog on walks because of the hassles of a regular leash. Now I just snap on the Buddy System and Kit and I head out the door to wherever. It is so much more enjoyable to take walks now.
