The Walkabout is the last leash you'll ever buy. Warning: To avoid injury, read the directions carefully before using the leash and use only as instructed. Keep out of reach of children. Attach the leash clip to the metal ring on your dog's collar. When doing this, the brake should be locked and the cord fully retracted. Always hold the leash by the handle. Do not hold the leash by the cord. The cord will run out, while remaining taut, keeping the cord suspended. During your walk, if you would like... To stop the leash: pull the brake trigger in and hold it. The leash will lock, stopping the cord from lengthening. To allow the cord to move in and out freely, release the trigger. To lock the brake: pull the brake trigger in, at the same time moving the locking lever forward with your thumb. To release the brake: pull the brake trigger in, at the same time moving the locking lever back with your thumb. To bring your dog closer: hold out your arm in the direction of your dog, pull the brake trigger and lower your arm to your side, shortening the distance between you and your dog. Release the brake trigger and repeat this step until your dog it at the desired distance. Instant close-range control: grab the nylon webbing loop near the end of cord. Do not grab or pull on the cord. When detaching the leash from your dog's collar: first make sure that the cord is fully retracted and the brake is locked.
