My dogs love this mat. It is a cool soft relief in hot Arizona summers:) It is great for long and short haired dogs-you will love it too because you know you are doing something nice for them.
Great . . . while it lasts April 23, 2008
I'm with most of the other reviewers on this one. It's a great bed . . . while it lasts. I have had two of these and both have sprung leaks. I tried fixing with a waterbed patch kit, but to no avail. I came here to look at the reviews to see if others were having the same experiences. I was so hoping they weren't and my beds were just dumb luck because my dogs LOVE this bed. I even came home from a walk one hot sticky day and laid down on it - it REALLY does feel great. Now I'm in search of a replacement product. Going to check out the "Cool Bed III".

The price at Amazon was the best price I found, and I did a lot of research; delivery was quick, and it arrived in excellent condition; the bed is easy to fill and really does stay cool; it is very heavy, though, once filled (I have the large & it takes 5 1/2 gallons of water to fill), so I suggest filling it in the spot where it will live! Also, do not plan on moving it around, because the pad inside can easily become misshapened and difficult to get back into shape; now, all I have to do is figure out how to get my dog to use it!
 Don't waste your money-overpriced and poor quality July 5, 2007
I bought one of these and within 6 hours (one night) my dog managed to pierce a whole in the bed. I woke up to a grumpy dog in 2 inches of water and a flooded den. It ruined my carpet and I was out $100 for a piece of cheap deflated plastic. A total waste of money!!

My dog has Cushing's Disease that makes it hard for him to stay cool. This bed really has helped his comfort level.
