He had been shedding excessively. After using the FURminator, I had no fur on my hands after petting him, his coat felt smoother and cleaner, and most importantly...no more cat fair flying about or on furniture. I used the spray, but I haven't done a direct comparison of with spray and without, so I can't comment on its effectiveness. I highly recommend this product. Fantastic   September 13, 2008 Lexi loves to be "furminated" and will stand still forever while all that undercoat is removed. Every bladeful that comes off is a reminder to me that it's that much more hair that won't be in my house. Great product and worth the money. No instructions on how frequently the device should or can be used on a dog.
