 Toning down catfights May 2, 2008
Feliway is a great product for multicat households. It really helps to tone down fighting amongst the natives and leaves everyone feeling more tranquil and content. I ran out, and really saw a difference in behavior: more aggression, more chasing, and some spraying. None of that was happening with the Feliway in place. Good stuff!
Great for multi cat households March 28, 2008
Expensive, but worth it for multi cat households. This keeps my kitties aggression and territorial fussing minimized. I can tell when the diffusers are beginning to run dry, as kitties begin hissing, fussing, and being generally grouchier without it. Truly an effective and innovative product idea that I'm grateful for.
While it doesn't make them all get along perfectly, it truly does help.
I keep the diffusers where they tend to eat, congregate, snooze, and nap. In other words, wherever territory staking becomes a problem. I also make sure to use put some of the spray on kind onto their cloth collars or into the cat carrier when heading to the vet or under stress. Seems to relax them a bit.
A Life Saver March 21, 2008
I was very skeptical when first trying this product, but was desparate for a solution to one of my cat's "spraying problem". This product works!No more spraying and all four of my cats are calmer and get along with each other much better. It is not cheap, but well worth the money for me. I have five feliways for approx 2000 sq and it works great. If you are having problems with neurotic cat behaviors I would highly recommend this product.

This product was recommended to me by someone who works in a local pet store. I told her about the problem I was having with one of my cats after I moved from a house where the cat could go outside all the time to an apartment where he has to stay inside. He had pee'd a couple of times in rather odd places--not on the rug or floor, but in empty containers that were on the floor because of the move. He would also meow a lot for no apparent reason. When I plugged in the Feliway, his behavior changed within a day. As long as I have it plugged in and the container isn't empty, he is a perfect cat. When I ran out after the first month, he started meowing and he pee'd in an empty box. Within a couple of hours after I put in the refill, his behavior went back to normal again.
I've heard that this product doesn't work with all cats, but when it does work, it works very well. It's a little expensive, but worth every penny!

We rescued 3 cats and had a stray adopt us. Then we heard about a momma cat with 4 kittens suffering in a shelter so we rescued her. We were able to get two kittens adopted, but momma had a nervous breakdown. Also, our first cats were not happy about the new cats. We were not sure how to handle things when we heard about Feliway and decided to try it. It took a few days for the results to be seen clearly, but it really did save the momma cat from her own nerves! The cats all settled down, and after two months of running this item in a diffuser non stop, we were able to stop using it all together. It helped the cats to sort of re-evaluate their feelings about each other. We have not used the product for about a year and suddenly, one of the older cats is attacking our newest rescue. Again, we are buying the feliway! We have never had a urinating problem, only a stress problem and social problem with our cats. This product has been a huge help. We have reached our limit for cats in this house.. (about time, right?) but I am sure that now we will all live happily with our large extended family thanks to Feliway. I have also heard that Bach rescue remedy is excellent, but have not been able to try it yet. The other foster parents from the rescue group we worked with swear by it!
