Product Description The Silent Air B11 pump is life insurance for your fish- the bubbles go ON when the power goes OFF. This battery powered air pump is a must for your precious aquarium fish. The Silent Air pump automatically turns on when it detects no A.C. electricity, providing your fish with life-saving aeration during a power-outage.

Better than nothing September 30, 2008 Purchased this as an economy pump for when the power cuts out,,,well it is definitely that HOWEVER it is Obnoxiously LOUD and only disperses a minimal amount of air,,,i have a 55g tank
still better than nothing and better than a tank filled with dead bodies
Loud and Strange May 16, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was the best battery-powered air pump I could find and it works well for traveling, which is why I bought it. But it is very loud and moves almost violently. For some reason the one I have will only work with the battery power. The electric cord just won't work. Again, I'll stress how loud it is. I would only recommend it because of the price and it works for traveling in a car if you wrap it in towels to smother the noise.
Battery back-up Pump April 14, 2008 So far this product has been great. I unplugged it and turned it on to make sure it works. It worked great. I thought the noise level was fine. I wasn't able to check how long it runs before the battery runs out. I heard it was roughly 7-8 hours. Thanks
Good Pump October 4, 2005 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
It's not all that silent but it sure lasts a long time. An 8 hour blackout, no problem..all specimens survived in the salt water tank! Sweet....
