 Great for large cats! September 14, 2008
We have 3 large (13+ lbs.) kitties that just love this dome. They are diggers and would scatter litter everywhere. No more mess after using the dome. The steps help keep litter in the box where it belongs. We tried others and the kitties seemed cramped. This is the only one that really is an extra large box. Wish I had seen the pretty pearl and purple colors. We have blue and gold. This is truely the best extra large covered litter box we've found.
 Excellent Alternative September 7, 2008
I work in the veterinary field and am pretty familiar with many of the products available for various pets. When I recently adopted my first cat, I was in search for a litterbox that was visually attractive, reduced odor and litter tracking while still providing a place where my cat would want to go. The Booda Cleanstep provided all of this. I placed a mat under the dome and 95% of all litter stays out of the rest of my apartment. My cat loves it, I love it. I would recommend the cleanstep booda dome to anybody looking for an alternative to the traditional litter box.
3 years later still the best September 7, 2008
I now have 4 adult cats and a new kitten that we rescued from the sid eof the road, and this litter box is the favorite of all my cats. Mainly cause it is so large. The steps do a "good" not great job catching the litter. An extra mat just outside the entrance fixes that though. I bought this box when I got my first cat 3 years ago and it is still used constantly. I would reccomend this to anyone!
Best I've Tried So Far! August 18, 2008
This is deffinitely the best litter box out there right now. I have tried the Tidy Cats Breeze and other covered litter boxes with filters and I just purchased my second Booda tonight. It does great with odor and the stairs do a great job of helping to eliminate tracking litter through the house. I didn't give it 5 stars because I have to place a book on the lid to hold it down because one of my kittens gets a little excited in there :), and I didn't like the liner that comes with it. My kittens (3) tore it up the first day. I had some large liners for another box that are much thicker with a draw string and they work just fine. I did put some tape on the liner for extra security of holding it down. I woldn't call it perfect, but it is close!
Booda Clean Step Cat Litter Box August 7, 2008
This Booda Box is SUPER. I have 4 cats and one of them is fastidious to the point of not wanting to use the litter box after his roommates have; read that as "too many roommates so I think I will poop on the floor". So I got the Booda box for him and keep it separate away from the others. As soon as I set it up, he claimed it by rubbing all over the doorway. It is BIG and roomy; with an easy to open top for cleaning. It took me a minute to figure out how to install the filter because there are no instructions, but once I got it together, it made an attractive space age addition to the room. Very nice and I might have to get a few more in different colors. It just so happens the room it's in is PURPLE (not MY choice) so it's decorator approved.
The steps make me want to sit down with some toy cars and play like a kid--but, of course, that's just too silly. It's very neat looking; and neat is the operative word. There's no litter being kicked on the floor because it's totally contained. Good invention.
