Was skeptical...now very happy July 17, 2008 I live in an area where the tap water doesn't have a good reputation and it tastes terrible, so I've been living on bottled water for years. What prompted me to purchase this system was not only the good reviews but for the simple fact that I wish to be environmentally conscious. Not only am I ridding our environment of lots and lots of bottles but I'm saving money by using Pur.
Since I've been drinking bottled water for years, it took me a little time to get used to the taste of the Pur system, but I'm now very used to it and love the taste.
Very easy to assemble and understand the instructions.
Great product for the price July 17, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have been very pleased with the Pur 2 Stage Water Filter. I do not keep it in the fridge, just because my family and I drink room temperature water, but it is slim enough that it takes up barely any space on the counter top (So, I could see it working well in the fridge). It came well protected and packages (some reviews stated the packaging was not so good and came with cracks) and the filter is working perfectly (some reviews said the filter stopped working prematurely). The water tastes great and it is so easy to use! I would definitely recommend it and will continue using it!
Excellent choice for pure water July 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have now purchased two of these Pur water filters. First one was for my daughter in college to save having to carry cases of water to her dorm. She is also eco-friendly so she pushed for a filter system. She loved using it and when she returned this summer, my wife took it to her work and started using it too. She wouldn't give it up! We recently purchased another to take camping with us in our RV and it saves us not only money replacing the bottles but storage space as well. Taste is very good and water from our RV holding tank is a good test. So, when my daughter goes back to college this coming fall, we will be purchasing our third one. We also purchased the three filter replacement pack at the same time for back ups. Oh, another thing, there is no carbon residue in the bottom of the basin. Hope this helps...
longtime PUR customer July 15, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We've been purchasing the PUR pitchers forever and now have added this for the kitchen counter. Great for kids and it doesn't take up much space.
If your water from the faucet doesn't taste good or look clear and pure, I'd recommend buying one of these units. We don't depend on bottled water as much anymore and hope we're doing our bit to save the environment by not buying plastic bottles.
Best water filter I've own yet July 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Works perfectly. I liked it so much in fact that I bought a second one for my family to keep at home.
