Friend recommened this product to me and am I glad she did. It has worked great! Barking is rare now, a real treat for us and our neighbors.
Highly recommend. Only negative is one of the battery covers fell off at some time and is lost (we have 2 dogs, both barkers.) Still works though, so no real complaint.
 Didn't work on my stubborn lab! July 2, 2008
I purchased this item through Amazon a few weeks ago and the first few days my lab was responding well to the spray. But that didn't last long! Now he is back to the same routine of barking uncontrollably while getting sprayed 30 or so times in the face. It doesn't phase him! Also, the battery died after only 2 weeks of use and had to replace it! I am now researching the bark shock collar!

I would have given it 5 stars, but the first one I received was defective. I tried to get a refund from Amazon, but they wouldn't accept a return. However, the product is guaranteed by the manufacturer, so they replaced it (after I mailed it back at my expense...ugh!) I put it on my toy poodle (about 18#'s)when he's out in the yard and it has curbed his barking considerably. Sometimes a few low barks (lol...like little coughs)... get past the microphone. (I think he's figured out he can bark if he does so quietly). But,evidently there's not much fun in that as he wants to come back inside right after. I keep the collar off (and turned off to save the battery life)when he's indoors.I'm pleased with the results and really do recommend it. It is a gentle correction and seems the most humane choice to put an end to excessive barking. Just be aware, if your dog continues to bark and ends up needing something more powerful, you can't return this product to Amazon and the manufacturer will only replace defective collars, not refund the purchase price.
broke after 2 days of use. June 29, 2008
while it worked it was effective, but after 2 days the spray nozzle started leaking citronella all over the place. amazon would not accept a return, luckily premier did, hopefully the replacement will work better.

I found this collar very effective in teaching the dogs not to bark. Unfortunately, it also sprays the dog when other dogs bark close to dog that is wearing collar, or if someone shouts or sneezes loudly next to dog. Overall it is very effective and I would recommend it, having tried many other techniques. I have Brittany's.
