Amazon.com As the daylight lingers longer each day, the more carnivorous folk start salivating in anticipation. Barbecue season approaches, liberating meat lovers from the less-flavorful pan-fried steak or bland poached chicken breasts. Likewise, the vegetarians in the family rejoice in the prospect of grilled summer squash or roasted beets and corn, rather than settling for another head of iceberg lettuce and canned beans. For juicy burgers and veggie kabobs at home or at the lake, industry leader Weber offers their portable Q-100 gas grill. The propane grill employs an 8,500-BTU stainless-steel burner to heat its 189-square-inch cooking area. Weber crafted the grill's lid and body in tough cast aluminum with a sturdy glass-reinforced nylon frame. The grill ignites at the push of a button for reliable lighting, and an infinitely adjustable burner valve with a high-quality regulator makes it easy to control the heat. Meat sizzles on the porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates, while drippings follow the drip ducts to reduce potential flare-ups and enable quicker cleaning. Other highlights include a flavorizer system integrated into the cooking grate, a removable catch pan, and a large weather-resistant lid handle. The grill operates on a standard 14.1- or 16.4-ounce propane cylinder. Propane does not come included, but Weber does enclose a Weber Q cookbook of recipes and inspiration. The grill measures 16 by 27 by 23-1/2 inches with the lid open and carries a five-year limited warranty. --Jessica Reuling

Won't start and customer service is no help July 19, 2008 What a disappointment! I'm sure if this worked it would be nice, but despite the fact that the ignition sparks and I've tried several different gas cannisters, the grill won't light.
I've called and e-mailed Weber customer service and they have been unhelpful to say the least. The last rep I talked to offered to send me a new regulator for me to install -- on a brand-new grill I bought 3 weeks ago! Needless to say, it's going back.
My advice -- go for the Coleman, or else buy it locally where you can bring it in for someone to fix for you when it doesn't work.
great grill and compact July 14, 2008 Gave as gift adn have had recipient in delight feed me twice off it in two weeks. Very easy to use, stable heat and even across area, making its small size equivalent of ordinary larger grills. Seems to be a nice combination of traditional hibachi design with some good engineering.
When my larger, much more expensive grill dies, I'll replace it with one of these, simply reworking the old one's fancy cart to be a nice stand for this grill or one of it's slightly larger cousins.
A plus is that we're doing joint cushy-camping trip with recipient and will have the Q-100 with us. A real hit.
Get a gas hose w/adapter and use it off a proper propane cylinder at home.
Weber Q100 July 10, 2008 You will love this little grill. I have a large Weber I've used for 20 plus years. This will be another grill that will last, Very well made. I purchased this for picnics and the pontoon boat. I could not wait, so I tried it out at home, The ribs were wonderful. It cooks a little hotter due to its size, but it works and cooks great! I took the advise of others who had bought the Baby Q, about lining the inside and spraying the cooking grill, cleanup was a snap. Shipping was very fast, ordered on Saturday and was delivered on Monday.
perfect tailgating grill July 8, 2008 we have gotten so much use out of our weber portable gas grill. It is absolutely perfect for tailgating!
Wonderful Q July 5, 2008 This is my first grill and I'm glad I chose the Q. I've been using it a few times a week. it's the perfect size for single people. Worth every penny.
It takes about 5-8 minutes to reach 400-450. Buy yourself a Grill Surface Thermometer so you know when the grill is ready to use. It sits on top of the grill grate. link:OvenChek Cooking Surface Thermometer Don't bother buying those fancy BBQ grill tool sets. They are too long. Regular sized tongs and food flippers will work just fine.
I have the hose adaptor and a full size propane tank. I'm thinking about buying a second tank because I'm using the grill so much.
