Good quality construction and material September 9, 2008 The quality and construction of this cover is very good. The only drawback is the design. There are two "vents" on the sides that allow water in. So if it rains or anything, you will have water sitting on your stainless steel sides. Here in West Texas, that also means you will have sand and water sitting on your stainless steel. Other than the side vents, I really am pleased with this cover.
I'm with the others - What's with the holes? September 7, 2008 This is only my second Weber grill cover in the last ten years. The material is solid and I anticipate that this will last a long time BUT - WHAT ON EARTH WAS WEBER THINKING?!? The big holes do nothing to keep ou the rain. A dust free grill is great and all but when there are huge water puddles onthe decks - not good.
I agree -- bad design! September 3, 2008 After reading about the same problem from so many other people, I would have bought a different cover except I couldn't find any with the correct dimensions so I just went ahead and got this one. I agree with everyone -- this is a REALLY dumb design! And if the vents are needed (and I still can't imagine why in the world they would be!) then why AREN'T they shown on the picture on the box??? It's not like tons of water get into them, but any water sort of defeats the purpose, doesn't it? I think we're going to try to cover the vents with black tape to minimize the amount of water that gets in. But except for that (which is kind of a HUGE "but"...), it's a quality made product.
really disappointed August 25, 2008 ordered and received this item without any hassel. was a bit dubious about the purchase given others' concerns about vents on the cover letting moisture in. purchased it anyway. left a review indicating that i should have heeded the reviews of others as the vents on my cover indeed did allow moisture through and on to my grill. i was contacted by the vendor repeatedly asking me to remove what they deemed a negative comment. finally, after repeated emails and calls to my home, the vendor offered to provide a full refund for the purchase of the cover, allow me to keep the cover, in return for removing the "negative" comment. i agreed to do so and did. i have not heard anything more from the vendor about my refund. i should have trusted my instinct to leave what i felt was a honest assessment of the grill cover's performance. i'm leaving this review to alert other would-be-buyers to what i think is a design flaw in the cover and to not be taken in by a promise for a refund to remove an honest review.
Excellent Grill Cover... if not exposed to water. August 12, 2008 This Weber grill cover is made of very sturdy, durable material and fits our Genesis EP-320 like a glove! The only potential downfall is that the cover has two mesh windows (purpose unbeknownst to me) located above the work surfaces on each side of the lid where water may seep through if exposed to rain. I use the word "potential" because if your grill is housed in a covered area (as is ours) this really isn't a problem at all. We're very happy with it and recommend it highly!!!
