great for dogs September 17, 2008 I have three small dogs who had terrible breath.. It took a month of use, but now their breath is much better, much fresher...they even seem more content.
Great product March 11, 2008 We have 8 rescued cats. Using a toothbrush is traumatic for both cats AND for the humans handling them. Since we've added Oral Care to their drinking water, we've noticed their breaths no longer smell bad. Vets should still do a dental cleaning and exam but Liquid Oral Care is a great way to handle the daily maintenance between those vet visits.
Helps to clean teeth, not a cure for disease March 6, 2008 I've been putting a half capful into the drinking water of my 17 year old Burmese cat, Bruno, for a couple of months. This is AFTER he had his teeth cleaned by the vet, and I think it is keeping his breath clean. He had a checkup recently and his teeth and gums were in good shape, so I recommend this product, not as a cure for dental disease but as a way of maintaining a clean mouth. It is not a cure for dental disease any more than brushing your teeth would be such a cure. My cat had no adverse digestive reactions.
Great Product for Dogs Who Hate The Toothbrush June 14, 2007 I've used this product and products similar to this for years with my baby (dog). Just a few drops in her water and she is good to go. She has never had a tooth or gum problem in the 6 years of her life. Her teeth are white and her breath is pleasant.
When trying to use the toothbrush, it makes an unpleasant experience for both of us as I have to hold her tight while she squirms.
This product is both convenient for myself and pain free for my baby.
I don't know if the person who left the comment prior to mine put too much in the water, but I've never had problems.
NOT RECOMMENDED April 14, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got my 2 cats 2 months ago. I noticed immediatley that they had very bad breath. I suspected some kind of gum disease so I purchased Petkin's Liquid Oral Care which I placed in their water daily for a month. It helped with their bad breath a bit but it gave them very loose stools/Diarrhea. I would come home to poop all over my house. Once I stopped giving this to them, they got all better. Perhaps my cats are sensitive to it - but I certainly dont recommend it. I rather a bit of bad breath over feces all over my house.
