Amazon.com Product Description TracFone's prepaid airtime card lets you spend only what you want. With a TracFone phone and a prepaid card, you avoid costly monthly charges and unexpected overages. Your TracFone phone will track and display your airtime balance right on the phone's front panel. You only pay for minutes as you need them.P If you run low on minutes, simply purchase and redeem more cards. To keep your TracFone service active, you must purchase and redeem a TracFone prepaid wireless airtime card every 60 days. When you redeem airtime before your due date, your remaining minutes and service days will roll over and be added to your phone (to a maximum of 120 days with any combination of regular airtime cards or 730 days with any combination of annual-plan cards).P Every TracFone contains the airtime balance display that shows how many minutes you use, how many minutes are left, and when you need to purchase and redeem more airtime, making it easy to control your costs.

Phone Number Inactivated Without Notice September 10, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've used my TracFone for 3 years and never had any problems. I currently have over 722.5 minutes and a contract date which allows me to have the number until 10/28/09. I was so happy with my TracFone prepaid service and suddenly, my phone number was no longer in service. I had done nothing but buy over $135.00 worth airtime in May '07 and suddenly, my phone number was no longer active. After spending over 3 hours on the phone with TracFone, they claimed there was nothing they could do for me. I considered this a breach of contract and was out of cell phone service and money.
Not worth the hassle.....bad phones, poor service December 28, 2006 I had Tracfone for a little over a year......after two months, my first Tracfone gave out. I invoked my warranty and they replaced my newer Nokia with vibrating alert and light up display with a much inferior and older Nokia model. Then the first problem arose with their service and they kept closing the case, but without a resolution to my problem. After I filed a complaint with PlanetFeedback, it was resolved.br /br /Then I sent out three referrals using their "Refer-a-Friend". They got their minutes, but I never got mine. I complained to Tracfone directly, and they asked me to obtain personal information about the phones, namely the serial numbers, of the people I referred. I complained to the Better Business Bureau about the potential of invasion of privacy, and Tracfone admitted that they had asked me to obtain their info and they flat out refused to get me my minutes unless I complied. I allowed the service and the unused minutes to expire and sold the phone on Ebay about two weeks later and will never go back to them. I just recently got a "real" cell phone provider with good signals and quality service and will never go back to Tracfone ever again.br /br /Don't waste your time with Tracfone....go with one of their prepaid competitors or get a real cell phone service with a decent service plan and good customer service.
Tracfone service is terrible December 19, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've owned a Tracfone for 3 years. My old Tracfone quit working, so I purchased a new one. I've been trying for 4 weeks to transfer my old phone number to my new Tracfone. It's been a nightmare-after 4 weeks, 3 new sim cards, and countless calls to TracFone customer service reps, I've accomplished nothing. My phone is still not activated, I still don't have my old number transfered, and I've wasted 7 hours speaking to customer reps. I don't recommend TracFone.

My tracfone has good reception. i like that it has free call waiting and free caller id. if you haven't activated your tracfone yet then the 'refer a friend program' will give each of us 120 free minutes. please send me an email and i will send you a fast referral( i check my email often). it's a win/win! thank you.

My tracfone has worked out good so far. Customer service is fine and the free voicemail was easy to set up and use. If you decide to get a tracfone, please email me for a quick referral before activating it- we each will get 120 free minutes from the 'refer a friend' program. I'll also send you the simple instructions to follow. I've used Tracfone for quite a while, so i should be able to answer any questions you might have. br /ps even if you have activated in the last few weeks i should be able to get us the free minutes.
