Its silicone head doesn't warp or melt, up to 600 degrees, and won't stain, either. Its thick, clear plastic handle, notched on the end for hanging on a hook or peg, doesn't stain. It goes in the dishwasher, too. But best of all is the little rest three-quarters of the way up the handle. Place it on a bowl's rim and the spatula won't slide into the batter or sauce. A must have if you wish to protect your coated cookware. I love this one. No wooden handle to harbor germs. Pulls apart easily to pop in the dishwasher. And to top it off, it works great and it has that groovy little 'rest' on the side of the handle to prevent it from sliding into the bowl when you put it down. Goodbye gooey handle! I'd like to buy more in different sizes.
