Product Description Clumping litter made from all-natural, whole kernel corn. Highly absorbent proteins and fibers found naturally in corn bind cat urine and odor molecules in the litter. So efficient, you may actually use less than other litters. Entirely safe for your cat and you. Quickly traps and absorbs urine and ammonia for exceptional odor control. Superior clumping. Creates firm, solid clumps that you just scoop away. Flushable, septic-safe. Low tracking and soft textured. This extra strength formula contains a plant derived, natural scent that helps keep litter fresh for multicat use. Biodegradable. Nearly dust free.17 lb. bag lasts a long time!2 cat household = 36+ days3 cat household = 25+ days4 cat household = 18+ daysbased on average size cats, results may vary. Instructions For Use Pour two to three inches of World's Best Cat Litter into a clean, dry litter box. For best results, do not mix with a non-clumping litter. Note: Some cats may prefer to have their litter changed gradually. In that instance, start with only 1/3 World's Best Cat Litter added to the current litter your cat uses. When this mix is accepted, change this proportion to 2/3. Upon acceptance of that litter, use only World's Best Cat Litter. Litter management with World's Best Cat Litter is substantially different than most litter. After your cat has used the litter box, simply scoop the clump and flush it. For good hygiene, you should remove all clumps and solid waste daily. Maintain two to three inches of cat lit

Excellent Cat Litter September 23, 2008 I was having problems with my cats ingesting the clay based litters and was looking for an alternative. I spent months and months trying different cat litters before settling on World's Best Cat Litter. Yes, there can be issues with odor control, but that is only a problem if your cat is the type that doesn't bury their business. This litter clumps better than clay based litter and is far less dusty. I've noticed a lot less little paw prints on the furniture, since I made the switch. The clumping power of this litter is so good, that if you are very tidy about scooping (which I am), you only need to do a complete litter change every 3-4 months! I scoop out used litter and replace it with fresh litter, twice daily, and the boxes stay clean for months (and I have 3 cats). I've tried both the original formula and the Extra Strength (multicat) formula and can tell you that there is no difference. If anything the Extra Strength formula tends to be a bit more dusty than the original formula.
Great litter but dogs ate it! August 15, 2008 This cat litter sounded a great product to put in the litter box. However, our dogs ate it like it was corn flakes, which I guess it is, in a way. We would fill the litter box, and within a few hours, the dogs ate all the litter! We don't have a place to keep the litter box where our dogs can't get to it, so we had to switch back to clay litter. We still give it 5 stars for being environmentally friendly and a great alternative to clay litter.
Yeah, it's smelly, but it's good for your cat and the enviornment... May 25, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
First, let me state that I don't smell any difference between this standard variety of World's Best litter and the "extra strength" one. They add some kind of plant protein to the "extra strength" one, but both litters are very lacking in odor control. Either that, or my cat takes extremely smelly poops.
However, if you don't mind the lack of odor control, this litter is great. It's just ground up corn. You can probably eat it if you had to, with GREAT DEPRESSION 2 coming (joking). But really, corn litter is better for the environment than strip mining it for clay litter. Since it's just corn, it's completely safe and healthy for your cat as well.
Sometimes the urine clumps break apart. My cat loves to dig into this litter and kick it all over the place and it's annoying to sweep up off the floor. And yeah, it tracks. I see little yellow paw prints on the carpet sometimes.
But I care about my cat's health and that's why I use this litter. Plus, he seems to like it. Though, to be fair, any litter I've tried with him in the past he's used without being fussy.
It really is the best! March 6, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Just the fact that it's flushable would, for me, outweigh any other negative factors. I would put up with some smell, some dust, tracking etc just for the convenience. Fortunately, I don't have to put up with those things - as long as I practice some general litter box maintenance on a regular schedule. I experimented with how long I could go without completely emptying out the boxes to clean (I use Clever Cat top-entry boxes) and it's about 2 months. At that point the remaining litter has broken down into dust and no longer clumps as well or controls odor. However, if I stick to emptying my two boxes (for two cats) about twice a week I only smell the poo if one of them has been particularly active. I live in a condo built in the 80's and I haven't had any issues with flushing or pipe problems. I don't mind paying a little more for this litter as it makes owning cats easier! Less time cleaning and more time snuggling!

Have been very pleased with product. Switched because of problems inhaling so much dust from other litters I tried. No problems with this, and it clumps fine for pick up. Did the switchover gradually and the cats didn't object to the change.
