Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The new K&H Thermo-Kitty Cabin includes a dual thermostat 4-watt heating unit to make this the perfect warm and cozy hideaway. The flexible exterior can be formed into 3 useful shapes. The Thermo-Kitty Cabin offers year-round comfort and warmth. Indoor use only. Measure 16 in. high and 16 in. across at base. Instructions: Carefully position heating pad between foam pieces and close the opening so your pet can not remove the hheating pad. When in use, check the pad to ensure proper position. Turn the bed so that the cord is exiting the back of the bed, away from the normail path traveled by your pet. When cleaning the bedding, unplug and remove the heater so you do not subject it to being immersed in liquids or cleaners. Remove cover for washing.

Customer Reviews:
Ok But Not Her First Choice January 22, 2008 My cat uses this kitty condo occasionally. She prefers her open air heated mat to the enclosed condo for reasons known only to herself. She wouldn't even look at the condo at first, in fact we had to force her in and feed her treats to get her to stay in it long enough for it to warm up. After that she voluntarily went in but it's definitely not her favorite warm spot.
I haven't tried any of the other configurations yet. When you change the shape I think you have to move the heated pad or else the pad is insulated by too much foam to be effective. Overall though - the quality of the materials was good and the heated pad takes up about 1/2 to 3/4 of the condo floor area. It's pricey so, when selecting your cats heated furniture take into account if they like to be enclosed or not. My cat doesn't and I think the condo reminds her of the carrier which we use to take her to the vet.
