Product Description Glyco-Flex II is for adult and mature dogs as well as sporting, hunting and working breeds who have stages of joint dysfunction or arthritis. Each smoke flavored, scored, chewable tablet offers a comprehensive support for joints and connective tissue health that helps with recovery from sprains, joint injuries and as a follow-up to orthopedic surgeries. Perna mussels are a good source of protein, minerals, and chondroitin sulfates. Along with Glucosamine, MSM and Perna canaliculus, GLYCO-FLEX II contains other ingredients such as Manganese and N,N Dimethylglycine (DMG). Vetri-Science holds 5 U.S. patents on DMG which demonstrates the multiple benefits that this ingredient can provide for the health and well being of the dog. The Perna canaliculus used in GLYCO-FLEX II is produced by freeze-drying the entire mussel (excluding the shell) of the Perna Mussel from New Zealand Formula. Suggested Use (Initial 4-6 weeks): Up to 30 pounds - 1/2 tablet daily, 31 to 60 pounds - 1 tablet daily, 61 to 100 pounds - 2 tablets daily, 101 pounds and over - 2 1/2 tablets daily. Cut dosage in half for maintenance use. It is part of the Vetri-Science stage of life program. STAGE 2, REBUILD, for moderate stages of joint dysfunction. Glyco-Flex II offers a comprehensive support for joints and connective tissue health that helps with recovery from sprains, joint injuries, and as a follow-up to orthopedic surgeries.

Glyco Flex II September 23, 2008 Fine product, if pricey. I have been using it with my young dogs for 3 years as a preventative, so I have no way of judging how effective it might be for older dogs with joint problems. However, after reading many testimonials about Glyco Flex and reading of the studies of the effectiveness of glucosamine, MSN and chondroitin, I am convinced of the overall value of providing my dogs this supplement.
Glyco Flex II might cause itchiness? September 15, 2008 This paragraph is not so much a product review - I am merely sharing my experience with others. I recently switched my senior golden retriever from Glyco Flex I to II; and his level of itchiness increased significantly within a day. He was on it for about 10 days until I got some more Glyco Flex I; when I switched back to Glyco Flex I his itchiness decreased. I've been very happy with Glyco Flex I and think highly of Vetri Science. But I did want others to be aware of a possible [food] allergy with the crab or other additional ingredients in the Glyco Flex II.
Glyco Flex II - supplement April 21, 2008 We give this supplement to our Bernese Mountain Dog. We heard about it from a friend who has a BMD and has had no signs of lameness in his dog. To date, it seems to be working - she has not had any limping or other signs of joint problems. We prefer to treat pro-actively versus waiting for pain.
moving better March 25, 2008 I bought these after a few people saw my aging puppy (she will always be my puppy) struggling a bit with getting up and around. It has been about 2 weeks now and she does seem to be able to get up and move better. Especially, in the morning which was always tough for her. Perfect, no but a lot better! A vet recommended taking this with a Rx as well. Haven't done that yet.
Canine joint relief March 2, 2008 I was recomended Glyco-Flex II by my vet for my then 8 year old Australian Shepherd who upon getting up was stiff and limped a little. After giving daily for 2 years his limp is gone and he continues to run and jump pain free. At 10 years old he can still keep pace with his 2 year old Aussie brother.
