It is far more effective than any other product of this type that we have tried. It is well worth the price as it is beautifully made and sturdy. Should easily last at least one dog lifetime. Two friends have also gotten furminators on our recommendation and are likewise very satisfied. Do get one that is the right size for your pet. This is one of the few products we have purchased that we have no critiquet of. It does what it is supposed to do perfectly. Excellent product   May 1, 2008 The Furminator works better than any deshedding rake I have tried. I have only used it for one month on a Golden mix and a Boxer/Chow mix; I wouldn't want to be without it. A GOD SEND!   April 23, 2008 I love this thing! My cats look like they lost 10 pounds each with all the hair they lost. I've tried almost all the brushes out there before finding this one, and was so annoyed at how poorly they reduced shedding. I even used to get my my maine coon cat shaved in the summer because I would go crazy with all the hair he would still lose despite the brushing. But since I've found the furminator, the hair has almost vanished. My cats also love it: they are purring and very happy when they get brushed, my maine coon won't have to look like a plucked chicken in the summertime anymore, and I have WAY less hair clean up. Everybody wins! Furminator   April 7, 2008 This product is very good at removing hair. I don't have a long hair cat, but he started shedding so that's why I bought it. It didn't stop the shedding right away, but we're gradually seeing less hair. The cat likes it. Buying over the internet is quite cheaper than in the store. The ordering and delivery went on "without a hitch". It does what it says it will do   April 7, 2008 This is handy to help cats or dogs with thick coats especially when shedding season is starting. It does a nice job!
