Customer Reviews: Cat Pad   January 7, 2009 This is great for cats during the cooler Winter months. It does make a 'crinkling' sound when the cat gets on it and my cat would not use it for two weeks. However, once she discovered it was warm, she seemed to disregard the noise. I tried it out myself one cold winter night and it kept me snuggly warm - just needed it to be bigger! Later, I found the exact same item for $5.00 at Walgreen's and scooped up two more. She appeared to like the crinkly-crunchy sound it makes, but she wouldn't stay on it or lie down on it at first. Finally, one cold night, she decided to lie down on it. She evidently liked the warmth, because she went to sleep on it. She only sleeps on it on cold nights, so it must generate some warmth.
