Product Description Malaseb Shampoo is ideal for generalized or multifocal therapy of dermatitis in dogs, cats and horses. Malaseb Shampoo contains Miconazole ? an antifungal with potent activity against fungi and yeast ? and Chlorhexidine Gluconate ? a proven antimicrobial agent active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. This synergistic formulation effectively removes scales, degreases the skin and kills cutaneous microorganisms that primarily or secondarily cause dermatitis. Clinical trials show Malaseb to be an effective treatment and control of Seborrheic dermatitis associated with Malassezia pachydermatitis and Staph intermedius. Malaseb is free from dyes and perfumes to reduce possible exacerbation of skin problems and its innovative surfactant base removes damaged lipids without stripping the coat. Active Ingredients: Miconazole Nitrate 2% Chlorhexidine Gluconate 2% Available in 8 oz., 12 oz. and Gallon sizes.

| Customer Reviews:
For dogs with skin that turn black and all medical oitment failed November 2, 2008 I took my dog to a groomer who accidentally shaved him. Somehow his shaver also infected him with something. Took the dog to the vet, tried several different medication, clavomex, Chlorohexiderm shampoo. Chlorohexiderm made the lesion crusty but could not stop it from spreading. Prescription medical cream turned his skin black. Someone recommended using cortizone cream. That made the stuff spread. Before I know it, large patches on both sides of his body turned grey-black and looked leathery. His hair would not grow back. Treatment after treatment, exhausted all kinds of medicated shampoo. Nothing worked. Finally, Malaseb came through for me, the black skin got crusty and scaly. When I comb out these crusty and scaly stuff, his original skin showed through. With Biotin as a supplement, his hair came back. I continue to use Malaseb so he won't be affected by fungus again. It was a pleasant surprise that the shampoo did not leave his skin dry or his hair all matted. Good product.
