This product really works! May 8, 2008 I love the Furminator, I couldn't believe how much hair it removed from my dog. I checked at the local pet supply stores and their price is much higher (59.99 plus tax). I bought it on Amazon for around $32 plus free shipping.
Furminator May 8, 2008 I am thrilled to have this grooming tool. My Lhasa Apso and I are very happy that her grooming time has become a pleasure instead of a chore.
It's expensive, but it works May 8, 2008 I have had a long battle with my dog's excess shedding. And, while I think part of the problem was her food, which has been changed, she also has the type of coat that sheds a lot--thick fuzzy undercoat/smooth medium length topcoat. I couldn't pet her without builing up huge tumbleweeds of loose fur, even though I brushed her everyday. However, now that I am using the Furminator, brushings are much more effective, and petting her no longer leaves me with fistfuls of dead hair.
fab fur remover! May 7, 2008 Removes a significant amount of undercoat from my black lab! I could make another dog with all the fur that comes off of her! I have definitely noticed a decrease in her shedding around the house, if I brush her consistently! She doesn't love it at all - she keeps trying to bite the yellow part, but it works great!
removes hair well - but seems painful May 7, 2008 this product definitly removes a lot of hair w/ each stroke of the brush. complaints are few: - the price - amazon was the cheapest i saw it, but still, 35-40 bucks for a brush!!! - seems painful - the brush looks painful, but my lab/huskey mix doesn't mind it at first, after about 5 min though, he doesn't want to see the thing - no good way to gather the hair - the brush removes a lot of hair/fur, but it goes everywhere!
overall, it's a good brush, and worth more money than others, maybe not 2 or 3 times the price, but it does remove a lot of fur. and for my dog, he has a lot of fur that needs to be removed.
