I recommend it for people with dogs who are jumpers and who do not want to permanently place a gate in their door. The height is perfect for large dogs and just the right height for people to open without having to bend over. It also has a security latch if needed so small children can not open. The "cat door" at the bottom also makes our feline very happy! The price of the gate (we bought two) is much better than any of the other gate products I researched. My dogs cannot jump over this gate because it is extra tall and the cats can still roam freely bcause of the small cat door. It is easy to install.
