 GREAT CHOICE May 18, 2008
I have 12 hamsters. I house them in 4 crittertrail habitat type cages, and 2 large wire type cages, and two plastic type habitat cages. The wire type are the favorite of my pets. There is much more room and much less mess to clean. However, I must warn you that those tubes are a pain to take apart and clean. It takes me about two hours to clean out all the nooks and crannies, about every other week.

My hamster loves this cage. I didn't take him long to transition from his old cage to this one. It has a lot cool features like the tunnels of tubing and the second level. BUT IT IS A HORROR TO BUILD! When the cage arrived I was hopeful for the best but didn't expect to much (as the box made the product seem like one of those straight-from-china ok-but-not-great kinda items). When open the metal parts were ok and the plastic parts seemed cheap. The cage also came with NO DIRECTIONS AT ALL. I was forced to build the cage with the picture on the box as my only guidelines. That said - Everything is pretty clear and easy to build. The plastic tubing is awful to put together. It is extremely hard to join them together and attach to the cage! (I had to lean against my walls in order to snap the pink support rings into place). The is also poorly positioned in the cage and the hamster has never touched it.
I give the cage 3 stars because the hamster likes it so much! He really does love it. But do expect to break your head, stump your mind, curse a bit, hurt your fingers and break a nail or too.

Well, we got this cage as a christmas present for our daughter. I decided to put it togeher a week or so before christmas eve, and BOY am I glad I did...those tubes are incredibly hard to snap together, and then even hard to connect through the cage opening. Keep in mind that the tube extensions you can buy at the store are a bit smaller in diameter and as a consequence aren't interchangeable. So far our little hamster is enjoying his new habitat, and we were able to make the "extra" tubes work. Also, the water feeder had to be replace since the one that is included is really cheesy and leaked. Also, we bought our own "silent" wheel since the plastic one wasn't that great.

Arrived quickly. It was a pain in the you know what to put together. Hamster escaped 2 times in 5minutes. Seller said since it was "used" wouldn't accept a return. Took about a week and numorous attempts on my part to at least get the 30% back or whatever was offered in their return policy list.

This cage was bigger for our hamster but two problems. 1. It came with no directions to put the cage together. 2. The wheel is in a tight spot and it is hard for the hamster to use the wheel. Over all though alot more room for our hamster and she seems to like it.
